EDITORIAL DESK

Corrections, citations and coverage

What this desk can help with, and what it cannot.

What the desk can take

The most useful message this desk receives is a correction. If a number on any page does not match the paper it cites, if a citation resolves to the wrong record, if a species or a population has been described inaccurately, or if a study has been superseded by a later one, the desk wants to know — with the specific page, the specific sentence and the source that shows the error.

Requests for coverage are also welcome. If a compound acting on the growth hormone axis has a published evidence base that could be summarised the way the three compounds here are summarised, that is a reasonable thing to raise. So is a request that an existing page be extended where new literature has appeared.

Correspondence about citation practice, about how the desk distinguishes trial findings from community reports, or about the editorial boundary described on the about page, will be read.

What the desk cannot take

This desk cannot answer medical questions. It is a literature digest with no clinician on it, and no message it receives will be answered with a dose, a schedule, a protocol or an opinion about whether a compound suits a particular person. Those questions belong with a licensed clinician who can take a history.

It cannot help with sourcing. No supplier will be named, recommended, evaluated or discussed, and no message asking where to obtain any compound will receive a useful reply.

It cannot advise on legality, on customs, on anti-doping procedure or on how any restriction might be handled. The regulatory facts recorded on these pages — approval status, Section 503A review outcomes, the World Anti-Doping Agency's category S2 — are reported as part of each compound's published picture, and that is the extent of it.

And it takes no commercial arrangements: no sponsored placements, no affiliate relationships, no paid coverage. The reading is the whole of the product.
